In his work as a lawyer and as an in-house lawyer in the DB Group for many years, he has supervised a large number of construction and infrastructure projects and the associated contract awards. For several years, he was involved in the DVA's main committee on the updating of VOB\/A and VOB\/B. Prof Dr von Wietersheim is an honorary professor at Osnabr\u00fcck University of Applied Sciences. He has contributed to numerous events and publications on the topics of private construction law and public procurement law.
