Free exam preparation in private construction law

In contrast to public construction law, private construction law is an area of law that is almost completely neglected in the study of law – despite its relevance to examinations as a compulsory subject material. Terms such as development plan, building permit, demolition order can be used by every student and legal trainee. Construction contract, property development contract, architect's contract, bill of quantities, quality, functionality, on the other hand, are largely unknown as central concepts of private construction law – wrongly, in our opinion. What?

You can expect a three-part workshop as optimal exam preparation:

1. Teil: Die Theorie (09.30 – 12.45 Uhr)

Ziel des Workshops ist zunächst die theoretische Vermittlung der examensrelevanten Grundlagen und Einzelfragen des privaten Baurechts. Der Stoff wird durch einen unserer Rechtsanwälte anhand einer Power-Point-Präsentation anschaulich erklärt. Zur eigenständigen Wiederholung des Stoffes werden Materialien bereitgestellt.

2. Teil: Die Anwendung (13.45 – 15.45 Uhr)

Zur Sicherung des Gelernten wird sich eine Verhandlungssimulation (Mock Trial) anschließen. Unsere Teilnehmer*innen erhalten einen Sachverhalt und werden der Rolle Kläger*in / Beklagte*r zugeordnet. Das Gericht wird mit Rechtsanwält*innen unseres Hauses besetzt sein. Während einer Vorbereitungszeit steht Ihnen ein erfahrener Rechtsanwalt als Coach beratend zur Seite. Im Rahmen der folgenden Verhandlungssimulation tauschen die Parteien ihre Argumente unter Leitung des Gerichts aus und können ihre erworbenen Kenntnisse praktisch anwenden.

3. Teil: Get-together (ab 15.45 Uhr)

The negotiation simulation will be followed by a get-together where you will have the opportunity to talk to the firm's lawyers. Catering will be provided.
